Privacy Notice - Beat the Street
Beat the Street is delivered by Intelligent Health. At Intelligent Health, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our players. Intelligent Health will never sell, rent or trade email lists or personal data with other companies and businesses.
What data does Beat the Street collect?
When someone visits www.beatthestreet.me/swindon we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site.
This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
When you register to take part in Beat the Street, your name, email address, phone number, age group, postcode, gender and information on health and levels of activity will be stored on our servers which are hosted and managed by DCSL Software.
We collect your personal information and contact details so that
1. You are able to participate in the game
2. We are able to contact you about your account or game updates
3. Provide you with notification of prizes for participating.
4. We store information about your health and levels of activity to evaluate the impact of Beat the Street in changing behaviour and attitudes for statistical purposes.
Please be assured that we do not share your personal details with any other company/organisation without your consent, although we may share anonymised statistical information with other organisations to independently evaluate the impact of the game. All organisations with whom we share anonymised data are GDPR compliant.
All personal identifiable data collected through registration will be deleted 18 months after you have registered to participate unless you have provided the explicit authority for the data to be kept for such things as repeat games which may extend past 18 months and you have agreed that details of free or low cost physical activity opportunities in Swindon may be shared with you after the Beat the Street game has ended.
When you tap your card or fob against a Beat Box, we collect and store information about your activity on our servers which are hosted and managed by our hosting company.
If you have registered your card or fob, this tap data will be linked to your account. We collect information on which Beat Box you have tapped, as well as the time and date, for the purposes of providing your account with points for walking, running or cycling across Swindon.
All tap data will be deleted after a period of 18 months. Tap data linked to your account will never be shared outside Intelligent Health.
Beat the Street Marketing
We would like to send you information about events during Beat the Street as well as similar activities after the game has finished.
As part of the registration process for our email newsletter, we collect your name, email address, age and postal code. During the game we will send you weekly emails regarding key events and tips for playing Beat the Street. After the game, Beat the Street will continue to email you each month regarding similar events and activities in your area.
We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses. Intelligent Health will delete all data 12 months following registration.

All data collected for marketing will be deleted 12 months following registration.
Intelligent Health, Swindon Borough Council and Sport England have a legitimate interest in evaluating the impact of Beat the Street Swindon and whether it has helped encourage people to get active, as a result we may contact you to complete a survey immediately after and up to 12 months following the Beat the Street game.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to contact you regarding completion of the survey. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. We also use a third-party provider, Surveymonkey, to collect survey responses. We gather information on levels of active travel, physical activity and mental wellbeing to evaluate whether the Beat the Street programme has led to changes in behaviour.
