Code of Conduct
Our goal is to create a fun, inclusive and safe experience for everyone. By participating in Beat the Street, you agree to the following Code of Conduct:
1. Show respect for others
Treat all players and members of the public with courtesy and consideration. Respect differences and be mindful of those around you. Lead by example through your actions and behaviour. Show integrity, fairness, and kindness at all times.
2. Create a supportive environment
Encourage others, celebrate achievements, and help create a positive atmosphere where everyone feels included and valued. Support fellow players and help build a strong, friendly community.
3. Respect property
Be mindful of your surroundings and respect both public and private property. Do not damage or interfere with anything that does not belong to you. This includes being mindful of Beat Boxes that are located near to people’s houses or places of work. Please make sure you are staying in public areas and not entering private property.
4. Respect the local environment
Help keep your community clean and safe by taking any litter home with you and keeping to footpaths and dedicated walkways. This includes keeping noise levels to a minimum particular in the evenings and in residential areas.
5. Be community-minded
Remember you are part of a wider community. Be considerate of residents, visitors, and other players. Take extra care in areas where children may be playing. Ensure your behaviour remains appropriate and safe at all times.
6. Be patient
If a Beat Box or event is busy, wait your turn respectfully and allow others to enjoy the experience.
7. Play fairly
Follow the rules of the game, do not engaged in cheating behaviour such as driving between Beat Boxes or using multiple cards.
8. Stay safe
Play in a safe and responsible manner. Be aware of your surroundings such as cars, roads and other hazards. Use crossings, play with other people where possible and remain visible if playing in the dark.
9. Be a team player
Encourage your team members to get out and play but be mindful of differing ability levels. Create a positive shared experience for you, your family, your teammates and your community.
10. Enjoy the experience
Use the game as an opportunity to have fun, explore your local area, and connect with others.
